In this edition of The Co., we're offering some insight on improving team connection and performance, a workshop reminder and some YouTube resources to deepen your learning
Over the past few years we've worked with teams across a wide range of sectors and organizational sizes.
From municipal governments to favourite ice cream shops, enterprise clients to small-but-mighty NGO's.
And the universal challenge that every team has faced?
Getting aligned on their vision, values and 'ways of working'.
Often, that includes the vision and values themselves (revisiting something that might have been created a long time ago, by another team, or had never been properly defined), but more often it's going a layer or two deeper into the behaviours and 'ways of working' that reflect the vision and values.
For example, most teams agree that 'collaboration' is important.
Too often, unfortunately, they haven't spent the time defining what collaboration looks like in practice (the actual behaviours), when to do it (and not do it) and how they'll track the impact of their collaboration efforts.
The most common challenges (opportunities for improvement) that we see on teams just happen to fall squarely into our Transformational Impact Model (not surprising, given that the model has emerged alongside our work with those very teams).
Even a little bit of misalignment, especially on leadership teams, shows up in the organization as;
We often say that "all roads lead to power and leadership" (which is why those two factors are in the centre of our model), but "all workplace challenges are rooted in a lack of team alignment" is a close second.

In this edition of The Co., we're offering some insight on common barriers to effective communication, announcing a few live recordings of The Leaderful Podcast and inviting you to a workshop in May. It's not surprising, given the volume of information that we're asked to process every day, and the speed at which that information is being...
Happy Monday! We hope you had a restful weekend, and are ready for whatever the week might send your way. Last call - Boundaries Before Burnout® Over the past weeks and months (years, really), almost every conversation with a leader includes the topic of "burnout", and how challenging it is to address for ourselves and our team members.
